What time to Travel To Kenya

Kenya is at it’s best during the boreal summer i.e. from July to September, implying that you should visit it at that time of the year.

Alternatively, you could visit Kenya in the period between January to February [boreal winter].
The only disadvantage with these months is that the prices are more expensive, because these months correspond to the high season.

Both road communications ad various cyclic wildlife movements are controlled by seasonal rains. The ‘Long rains’ between March to June and the ‘Short rains’ between October to December are the two basic rainy seasons.
Some parks become flooded while some dirt roads get strongly muddy during these months, which creates a bottleneck to road transport and lodge supply.

However, at Masai Mara, which is among the most visited parks, the wildebeest herds migrate using cyclic basis from this park to Serengeti and back.

Exactly after the long rains, the wildebeests and their zebra escorts arrive at Masai Mara looking for salt-rich and young pastures.
This therefore shows that during the period between July to September, the wildlife is in a abundance in Masai Mara.

In August, the weather is generally not as hot and dry as in January and February, which therefore implies that these months are favorable for you to visit the country.
It should be noted that few wildebeests and zebra can be cited at Masai Mara in the arid North temperatures rocket.

Customs:
In Kenya, nothing is wrong with carrying photo or video cameras while as is the case with other countries, Guns are completely prohibited since in 1977, hunting was put to
a halt.
