Swahili Phrases
The most commonly used language in Eastern and Central Africa is the Swahili language.
Whereas English is understood in the cities and towns of Kenya, interaction with those people in the interior can be made more easy when the tourist knows a bit of the locally spoken language in that particular region.
Before talking to any person, you’ll be considered polite when you greet the person first.

Some Swahili words have become part and parcel of the English language. Such words include; “Safari” which means Journey, “Hakuna Matata” meaning no problem.
