A tiny house of sanctuary with animal species like lions, elephants, cheetahs, buffaloes as well as the extremely rare Taita Falcon, is located on the Taita Hill.

Chyulu Hills have a lot of ash cones and craters. These are not composed of permanent waters, but when it rains, water passes through soft rocks and joins the permanent fresh water sources namely Mzima Springs and Tsavo River.
Chyulu still has it’s natural vegetation, with wildlife such as cheetahs and elephants. This has so happened due to the hill being one of the areas, which have not been encroached on by man.
